On their first official tour outside of Mexico, Big Big Love bring their larger then life epic synth rock to Oakland for a night of electrifying music with local modular artist Ghost of Lightning and pop laced electro act, vverevvolf.
Big Big Love was formed by two brothers and two childhood. The singles they've released have been well received and led to playing large shows at Lunario, Mexico's National Auditorium, and Vive Latino 2016. This year they released their Debut LP "Friendship". The album has been receiving rave reviews and the band was nominated for Best Live Act in the Independent Mexican Music Awards.
Headlining the show will be Oakland's Ghost of Lightning. Lead by Travis Blitzen, who was once banned from SF venues for excessive use of confetti with the synth-rock group Easy Street, the group explores uncharted sonic waters with a mix of modular improvisation and pre-conceived compositions. With a flair for the theatric, Ghost of Lightning brings an immersive audio/visual experience to every show. Along with playing all their synthesizers live, they have developed a custom lighting array that continues to evolve at each performance.
vverevvolf will be supporting Ghost of Lightning with irresisstable pop sensibilities. A fairly new band, they released their first single 'Cruel Games' and are due to drop their next on 'Murder' in November. If you love pop songs that do away with minimalism and go straight for the jugular with bombast, then vverevvolf is the beast for you.
